Steve Jobs - An inspiring entrepreneur

Who doesn’t know Steve jobs, a well-known inventor and entrepreneur. I am very fond of his commencement speech that he delivered at Stanford. He talked about his journey before inventing Apple, his career and his life. It was inspiring and so touching. His determination, perseverance, and his love for his work changed the way I view things in my life.

Believe in yourself and believe what you do today will make difference tomorrow. Don’t be afraid to fail.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Learning from mistakes makes you learn and be prepared in the future. Steve Jobs didn’t know if dropping out from college would eventually help him to succeed. As Steve jobs said,” you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” If Steve jobs didn’t drop out from college, he might not be a person we know today. What we need is to believe what we do today will make a big difference tomorrow. “because believe in the dot connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well-worn path and that would make all the difference.” [Steve Jobs] Sometimes you need to face the failure in order to make you successful. The important thing is that you don’t give up on what you believe but make it as a lesson that it will guide you to make it right.

Love make you stay.

Being fired from Apple didn’t stop him for being an inventor and entrepreneur because he still loved what he did. That’s why he started two new companies named NeXT and Pixar which later become successful companies and he returned to Apple when Apple bought NeXT. Something happened for a reason. He said,” sometimes life hits you in the with a brick, don’t lose faith.” He was convinced that the only thing that kept him going was because he loved what he did. He further said that,” your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” If you love what you do, you constantly want to make it even better and better. It was inspirational speech.

Passion is the key to love your job and the key to be successful in your job.

When you are passionate about doing something, it makes you to love what you do. When you love what you do, you determine to make it great. It is the key to your success. Many successful people do what they are passionate about. It drives them to learn more and do more.

Be yourself

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” I love what he said. I used to follow and do what others think and say. As a result, it never makes me feel happy no matter how much accomplishment people think I have achieved. Also, another problem we may often face is that when we think about doing something in the future, some people may think and say “it will never work.” As a result, we are discouraged to pursue that dream.

All in all, it was phenomenal speech and I learned a lot from it. So if people ever doubt you, use it as a motivation to prove them wrong.
